Centennial House in Sewanee, Tennessee
The Sewanee Centennial House is an historic, southern neo-classical home that had fallen into disrepair. Dryden Studio completely restored and preserved the historic character of the home in 2021- 2022. They restored the brick, replaced and refinished wood floors, replaced rotted columns on the porches, rebuilt the back porch and mended the fireplaces. The home is still historic but now features an elevator for load-in and ACH access. It’s incredibly functional as an event venue without sacrificing the historic nature which makes the house so unique.
Reasons to love Centennial House as an event venue:
This grand home is the perfect backdrop for a tented event.
The trees provide shade and ambience.
The interior is timeless and would be a wonderful space to host a small gathering of 20 - 50 guests.
There are plenty of restrooms inside
There’s a catering kitchen and a green room (for your band, musicians, etc).
The weather in this part of Tennessee is more mild (less heat and humidity, less rain) than its surrounding cities.
There’s plenty of parking because the venue is adjacent to the university’s football field.
