the perfect, delicate scent for a wedding reception

The Power of Scent

Scent is a powerful sense that can evoke emotions and memories. Incorporating a signature scent into your wedding can make the event more memorable for you and your guests. The scent you choose can become forever linked with the happy memories of your special day.

What is a Scentscape?

A scentscape is a curated olfactory environment created using various fragrances to enhance the ambiance of an event. At a wedding, a scentscape can help set the mood, reflect the couple's personalities, and complement the overall theme.

K & Eā€™s wedding at the Frist Art Museum was a sensory delight, thanks to their thoughtful choice of signature scents. They selected two distinct yet complementary fragrances from Paddywax, a Nashville-based candle company.

The Scents: Pear & Patchouli and Leather & Oak

  • Pear & Patchouli: This scent offered a fresh, slightly fruity note with a hint of earthiness from the patchouli. It provided a light and uplifting aroma that was perfect for the celebratory atmosphere.

  • Leather & Oak: This diffuser brought in a deeper, more robust scent, adding warmth and richness to the overall olfactory experience. The leather note gave a touch of sophistication, while the oak provided a grounding, woody undertone.

These scents combined to create a delicate, beautiful aroma that filled the entire venue.

Enhancing the Venue

The combination of these scents created a layered and multidimensional fragrance that enhanced the ambiance of the Frist Art Museum. The delicate balance between the light, fruity pear and the deep, rich leather and oak made for a unique and memorable experience.

Scent as a Lasting Memory

K & E had an abundance of these candles and diffusers left over, allowing them to revisit the scent and the memories of their special night for years to come. Each time they light a candle or walk past a diffuser, they can be transported back to the joy and beauty of their wedding day.
