O N E Y E A R
I have a little history lesson for you today.
In 2006, I moved to France. I bought a fancy camera and took photos all over Europe. I also took some pretty photos of families and children. When I got back to the states in 2007, our friends were getting married and a few trusted me to photograph their big day. I bought more equipment and, before too long, had launched a full blow side hustle that was pretty successful for a few years. In 2012, I became a mother. We adopted our oldest son and moved to Nashville in 2014. I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. After we settled, I found Music City Events. Founder, Sara Willard, hired me to assist with her gorgeous weddings, taught me everything I know about event planning and photograph details. Eventually I became a planner, too. I fell in love with the rush of a wedding day again. Every tiny detail, looking perfect. The couple, totally content. The guests, thrilled.
I took over ownership of MCE in 2018 when Sarah moved away and then launched Read Event House ONE YEAR AGO TODAY. It’s been a journey but I finally feel like I’ve found my thing. My passion. My purpose. If you lost count, that’s 15 years. 15 years in the wedding industry and exactly 8 years as a planner. It’s been a privilege and an honor. To all my clients, past, present and future: Thanks so much for your trust in me.
