My Design Process

As an event designer, taking into consideration a couple's personal aesthetic and designing an event based on their personality is an essential part of the job. My own design process is thorough and unique, as each couple has their own distinct style and preferences.

To begin, I like to sit down (or virtually meet) with the couple and get to know them on a personal level. I ask questions about their favorite colors, textures, and design elements, fashion-sense, favorite brands, home decor as well as their hobbies, travels, and cultural backgrounds. This helps me to understand their interests, style, and vision for their wedding day.

From there, I start to develop a mood board and color palette that reflects the couple's vibe.

Throughout the design process, I work closely with the couple to ensure that their vision is being brought to life. We may go through multiple rounds of revisions and adjustments to ensure that every detail is perfect. I also work with the couple's other vendors, such as the florist, lighting designer, and rental company, to ensure that every aspect of the design is cohesive and complementary.

I create events that are not only beautiful and unique but also reflect the couple's personalities and tells their story. Whether it's incorporating a cultural tradition, a special memory, or a favorite hobby, the design is personal and custom to the couple.

This may include images of fashion, art, architecture - especially their venue, and florals and textiles that inspire the overall design concept. I also create sketches and 3D renderings to help the couple visualize the design plan.

Utilizing this process, I am able to create an event that is truly one-of-a-kind and unforgettable.
